Storms Over the Rock

Yesterday after a beautiful picnic on the beach and a pick up baseball game I did a last minute meeting at the gallery - they loved the portraits but bought the dots - closed the doors and went over to the house. just in time for a movie with the whole family. ( They even deliver their organic gourmet dinner hampers) . And now Greenies has opened a true organic supermarket similiar to the one in greenport. SO NO MORE EXCUSES. Delicious real food is now available!!! Sorry George - you're late to the game>

James Frey Comes to Bookhampton

About one of the greatest parts of living out on the east end is the proximity we have to all kinds of artists, authors and personalitiies. Be it bumping into Martha Stewart at a matinee showing of Ironman or Calvin Klein at a cocktail party here in our small community we have a comfortable intimacy with celebrity. One of the rewards with that easygoing neighborliness is we get special moments. So on July 24th James Frey will be at the Amaagansett Bookhampton to sign and read from his latest nov… Continue

Marie Eiffel Styles The Rock

Shelter Island has a fashion secret shared between year-rounders and summer people alike. We know where to go to get the latest original clothing and accessories that no one else has. We all know nothing spoils a perfect outfit like someone else in it, and no one feels the sting deeper than those who pay big bucks for the look splashed on multiple women at one occasion. Since price tags do not ensure exclusivity amongst the super rich, fashion forecaster/stylist turned store owner Marie Eiffel p… Continue

Profile Pictures

We have found that the best photo to use when posting your profile picture is a portrait of the member alone - the photo stamp size of the profile picture shows the member best this way.  If you have other people in your picture or you are in the distance, it is distracting.  Please try and use a picture that shows your face clearly - we love to connect with each member and feel more connected when we can "see" them clearly.:)
